I know you can't tell from this picture, but I love to eat - and the more variety, textures, spices and colors - the better. I really enjoy experimenting with cooking from different countries around the world. It is a fun way to bring variety into our diet and learn about other cultures without the need or expense of travel. 

Eating is about exploration, fun, balance and nutrition. Personally, I eat a modest amount of red meat, poultry, and lamb, some fish, grains and a lot of beautiful vegetables, herbs, spices and fruits. I enjoy baked goods and sweets in moderation. This is the diet that works best for my body, at this time. 

Some of your diet choices may be dependent on lifestyle factors. For example, climate and lifestyle, age, physical activity - all would influence what foods will work best for you. However, the most important thing is to remember that eating is meant to be an enjoyable event. If you are feeling guilty about eating something, this is not healthy or joyous, nor will the body be able to assimilate nutrients properly to help you thrive. I hope the recipes that I have included will bring some adventure, exploration and enjoyment to your life!
